LN Lan Party #2 Results

Thanks for everyone who showed up today, the get together was a real blast. I only wish I could have stayed later, but between the long drive home and me feeling really sick from med withdrawel, 12-14 hours was enough 3d for me. Fortunately, Holy decided to cooperate mostly, althoug the laptop refused to work more than a few rounds with out major slowdown.

Alex & Steve, thank you very much for the hardware donation, I'll be sure to put it to good use. As always, it was a pleasure meating you guys, please let me know if there is anything I can do to repair you.

Cabal, I dont think I know your real name, but nice meeting you as well. You should definitely spend more time on this site, as your good people.

Everyone else, it was nice meeting you, and I hope everyone gets to go to the next lan party. If you have pics, email them to me and ill put them in the gallery. Ill also put up some of the divx movies I recorded on the website when they are ready.

It would have been nice if some other guys would have made it, but organizing a get together like this is always hard. Of course, having only 6-8 guys doesnt make it any less fun imho. The food was good as well, thanks Fara.

Im tired, dont know what else to say. Cant wait for the next one :)

Yeuup, that was cool... I'm glad I went. I just got home and my pc is back in it's own little spot. That was the first lan I've gone to....I got about a gig of mp3's, played some new games I probably wouldn't have otherwise, got to be chauffered to compusa by fara since I forgot speakers..ehh...had some of fara's beer, had some of fara's london broil.... and oh yeah... the mp3's were his too!! Thanks for setting everything up fara!! ps- I am listening to the mp3s on my klipsch's now.... they sound amazing, what can I say? Do you really want speakers that say "creative" on them? lol, I think you know which ones to get ;)

It was nice meeting you all.... we have a great net group, no doubt about it.

P0- Thats pretty much my only game, but you took a few rounds here and there :) maybe we'll be playing ut2004 next time :D

Dont feel bad 4.6, I forgot mousepads and those optical mice wouldnt work on the tables there hehe. At least you had a ride, I had to try and find CompUSA on my own lol. I think they were going to send out a search party. On that note, I went out of the way, but the real reason it took so long was NJ traffic! Every single light was like a 10 minute wait. I never did find CompUSA...made it to BestBuy tho, where I bought two overpriced mousepads. $20 of my cash gone ;)

2004 looks cool. Actually, I have to start playing these new bonus packs for UT03. I havent played UT since the last lan party until about a week ago when i started training the wifey. Been playing too much BF1942, MOHAA and Vice City. I'll have to get a jump start on 2004 just so I have a shot of keeping up with ya :)

yea that was a damn good time guys, nice meeting you all, names is Ray btw. Just a few things i'd like to mention.

1. Fara is the pan-fried steak master.
2. 4.6 is a haxor, jking you got crazy ut2k3 skills.
3. Player0's Tuna Mac teh win.
4. Tailin has incredible dremel skills.
5. Project holy made me drool.
6. Used anti-freeze glows really good.
7. Folding metal chairs hurt the bum.
8. Player0 gets very excited when playing games :P
9. Getting really drunk and losing your shoes LMAO!
10. Missing out on the druken firefighter orgy kinda sucks.

Btw i got pulled over by the stupid cedar grove police coming home at 4am. He told me i was having trouble staying in lane.
But it only cause i dropped my bagel on the floor and was tryin to pick it up while driving 60 on route 22. He told me to have a nice night :D

Cabal- consider yourself lucky, I got a ticket on my birthday a week ago for 15mph over... he would not even write the ticket for 14mph over which is 2 less points on your license.... so now I have 4 points. At 3AM on an open road, the only thing they should be looking for is alcohol IMO. Whatever, I'm not gonna let some pig headed a$$wipe sour me... but consider yourself lucky you don't have to bother with court or anything, he could have been a pain in your butt...

if you go to court on the ticket, you can usually plea with the prosecuter ie: ill lose my job... wife will shoot me...will lose part time valet job etc... you can USUALLY plead it down to "Driving in an unsafe manner", 0 points, 100.00 fine 30.00 court cost. keeping points off your licence...Priceless.
i beat a careless driving ticket from when i hit a car drivin by an undercover narcotics task force officer in hudson county.

It was certianly a blast :D :drinkbud:

1. A properly seasoned cast iron pan is your friend. Just remember, cooking and playing means you can't go 2 rounds in UT. One works about right timewise. ;)

2. Glad you showed 4.6, I was getting tired of getting shot by Tom and Abi all the time.

3. That was my first experience with tuna mac. It certialy won't be my last. 2 of my friends that stopped by wanted the recipe badly. :)

4. Tailin's work is outstanding. You really can't appreicate it till you see it up close. :thumbsup:

5. Project holy shit it crashed again is one bright box. You can get a suntan from it. One sweet looking box.

6. Synth, I'm supprised you got it done but you did. :) Used anti-freeze..... dude, I have a galon on my back porch just for the computer. You could've asked. :D

7. The chairs never really bother me. They were comfortable enough for Synth to catch a few ZZZ's in front of his box.

8. There is nothing wrong with talking to yourself. I do it contantly. Now arguing with yourself, that's an issue. :P

9. Too bad I didn't have a video camera. Girls gone wild at the LN LAN. Wonder if she ever made it home.

You did get lucky Ray, cedar grove cops suck. It was a wonderful time and it was great meeting all of you. We shall probally be doing this again in the fall or there abouts.

I also tend to throw little get togethers in the summer bolth here in NJ at my house and in Upstate NY on my family's property. The ones at my house are BBQ's with little room for LANing but if the weather is nice... I do have some tables I can set up :D Upstate is just camping, eating, and relaxing. We have no power, running water, toliets, ect. but it's the perfect place to set up a tent.

I know of a few others from the other side of the pond that will be making the trip over here, ok 2 people and one just moved here, and I'll try my damedest to get a little LAN going when everyone's over here.
