Scheduled Site Downtime

Due to recent events at other hardware sites, I will be taking LiquidNinjas.com down for maintenance and upgrades now and again over the next couple days. I will be installing software and security updates to the server, as well as beefing up security measures and logging systems. I will also be creating new backup routines to prevent any dataloss. Although I plan to make it extremely difficult for anyone to hack liquidninjas.com servers, even in the worst case scenario, I will beable to restore most of the database from copies.

Please excuse any downtime and inconvenience as I work to ensure the security and stability of this website.

I am sorry that you do not get the recoginition that you so richly deserve.
People do not realize what it takes to maintain and run a website.
There are many long and endless hours to keep the site running seamlessly.

You have done a magnificent job, and we all do appreciate it.

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the recognition. I honestly like the challenge of trying to keep things running. Of course, whenever anyone has a problem, I get an email or PM, and sometimes it feels like all I'm doing is answering complaints. It comes with the job though, as not many people truely understand what goes in to this kind of project. But thanks, its nice to hear something other than a problem report once in a while :)

I'm still waiting for the day that the server dies, or the DSL line goes out, or someone hacks us and wipes everything out. The law of averages say it's going to happen eventually. But I think we're prepared.

If not, we'll all just go over to XtremeSystems ;)
