Well... my non overclocked system on ESC mobo K7S5A is working great... although I still have some issues.
Sometimes my dog ( he likes to play ) unplugs my computer from the wall outlet.
After that my PC is unable to boot. When I'm trying to turn it on it is just shows that it is running ...although monitor is not getting up. And today I got CMOS error and bla bla... Usually I just clear my CMOS and restart computer load defaults, save them, change them and run my PC.
But I think that it is not a great idea to do such an operations every time my dog unplug my PC.
Could that be that my Battery is somehow bad quality or so?
Anyway... your ideas will be appretiated.
Thanx
PS Please do not suggest to get rid of my dog.
:D
:p

Get a UPS!! :)

Then drop it on your dog's head. ;)

Um...its not too uncommon for cmos to get corrupted on power failures. Ive seen it on a bunch of cheaper PCs. Soyos, Aopen. I dont know why it happens, but it just does.

Doubt its the battery. It happens on new boards. But, the batteries are only a few dollars...might be worth a shot.
