Regarding the power supply, you don't have to plug in both, however the Aux 12v connector provides for more stable power to the board, so it should be used if possible, especially if your over clocking....
Yes it has SATA raid.....

one other thing if i may..
I have a choice of running either 2 x 256mb 2700 KingMAX BGA.. or 1 x 512Mb 3200 KingMAX..
does having 2 simms really make that much difference?
or should i run the 1 3200 sim?
iam building the pc tomorrow so i would love a prompt reply :)

I'm not familar with that brand of memory, so I'm not sure how well it OC's etc... But just in general, If your looking for ultimate maximum performance 2 mem modules, running in Dual channel will give you a bit more performance. However in your case, I would probably go with the single stick of 3200 512, only because its rated at higher speed. Then in the future when an opportunity presents itself I would grab a second stick so the Dual channel memory can be taken advantage of. I ran a single stick of Samsung 512 in my NF7-S for quite a while, recently bought a couple sticks of 256 mb OCZ for it, and honestly the only way i could tell any difference in performance is through benchmarks, and maybe just a bit snappier desktop. hope this helps your decision.
