Hi Mike,

My only thought is on the Rounded Floppy Cables Review, I have two pics that do not come up.
It might be me, but thought I would mention it.

The reviews look great, and a Congrats to Superfly for the review and work.
Good job, bud!!

Take care..........

Hi Mike,

They work now, and again, these are good reviews.
The items are something that we all can and do use, so they are relevent to us.

Good job, again.

Take care, and thanx........

The reviews aren't too bad, if a little on the short side ... BUT the pictures are shoddy. I think Superfly should have taken the time to take some good quality pictures as the ones in the reviews are blurry and grainy. Sorry to be negative but was he dancing around while taking those pics!?

Hi Kill_Switch,

Man, haven't you heard of tact?

At least use words that are positive reinforcement, and not a slam.

Besides, we are waiting for your review on something.

Take care.........

I'm not knocking his reviews, the only thing I said about the textual content was that it was a little short which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I suppose you could say I "slammed" his pictures due to the low quality of them, but I'm sure he'd like to hear about areas that could be improved rather than everyone patting him on the back and ignoring the glaring problem. I'm not knocking the guy, in fact my hat's off to him for taking the time to do the reviews, which aside from the pictures contained all the relavent information one would like to see in a review.

So in closing, I criticised his pictures, but this has no bearing on his ability ... nor mine for that matter (which has NOTHING to do with this anyway so why you bothered to say it I don't know) ... to write a review.

Hi K_S,

"to write a review."
It is easy to criticise someone elses work, but try to do a review, and see just how hard it is.
That is what I meant.
So it DOES have SOMETHING to do with this anyway.

Take care.........

But as I pointed out in my previous post I'm not criticising his review I'm criticising his pictures.

Hi K_S,

"But as I pointed out in my previous post I'm not criticising his review I'm criticising his pictures."

The pictures are part of the review, as the tires are part of the car.

Enough has been said on this subject, so I am out of here.

Take care........

Seems to me the fault is not his own. I'd blame the camera.

Yeah I know it's not down to him personally, perhaps he just needs to get a new camera or something. I just figured that if he put the time and effort, which must have been considerable, to do the reviews and the write-ups then he would have made sure he had everything else perfect so as not to detract from the work he put into the project.

Quality reviews do indeed take a tremendous amount of time and effort. I know that some of my better reviews have taken weeks to put together by the time you take into consideration the testing, documenting, writing, editing, and html formatting. Based on that alone, anyone who even attempts a review should be complimented.

Superfly is just beginning his foray in the review arena, and I commend his efforts. Yes...there is room for improvement. But, as he does more reviews, I would anticipate the quality and professionalism to improve.

One of the things we do here at LN is offer the ability of our members to post reviews. Not every site allows this. We do distinguish which reviews are "LN" versus "guest" reviews, and do hold the "LN" reviews to a higher standard as they clearly represent the site. But, at the same time, we encourage our membership to get involved in the LN community and have an impact the LN site as a whole. And it is with this in mind we allow for more flexability in review content.

Edit- We should not jump on KS here, as his comment about the quality of the pics is valid. I suppose it boils down to how positive criticism is given. Perhaps a "nice review....but perhaps we need to work on the pic quality" may have been a better way to say it:)

k-s i can sorta understand what youre saying esp. cause superfly was asking for lots of constructive criticism before...

I will say that superfly did a super duper job on the reviews. he got a lot of different products in that a lot of members here are interested in.

also i am not sure if i should say exactly how old he is, but hes a very young person. im 22 currently, superfly is younger by a lot!

i am amazed at the maturity with which he finished the reviews. i mean people who are double or triple his age get overtly bias and just sound inane when doing reviews.

yeah there is room for improvement, but the pictures really are a fault of the camera as drake said and not the fault of the reviewer.

superfly, I really loved the ending sections when you would put up the pros/cons. the pictures were a little grainy, you were using a webcam right? dont, worry too much about the grainy pics though, i actually thought the pics were well taken...hopefully you can get a better cam somewhere but its not really really necessary. the reviews were a bit short, but heck in this time and age shorter tid bits of information is really nice compared to pages and pages of paragraphs. when you get your new system set up, do a review of the epox mobo youre getting, as well as the speakers and the fx5200 if you wouldnt mind. i woul def like to see some reviews of those!

keep up the good work!:)

Hey guys,
I thought the review was exceptional for a 14yr old. True the pics were on the bad side, but not everyone has access to digital cameras like most of us do.

But all in all, great work bud! Keep up the good work!

yeah exactly wes, when i was fourteen i just remember drooling a lot and catching fish along the river...nothing as consequential as writing up reviews for hardware.

anyawys for a fourteen year old to be so excited about doing hardware reviews...its sorta hard to get quality digital cams...

so good work again! superfly!

edit: heh im really drunk and once again posting like a madman...oh wells i finish my last semester at school! so forgive my drunkeness! hehe:drinky:
