Having watched AOTC a few times and watched the hilarious lightsabre battle at the end with yoda and the other bloke.
It strikes me that the little green guy is putting on the invalid with a cane act.

He must get a free jedi bus pass or something :D

Yoda kicks ass.

Maybe he really is banged up and he just saves his energy for when it matters. Kind of like when people get an adrenilin rush and mothers can lift cars off their kids if it was needed.

Or maybe it's just the force.

Your both wrong.... Yoda is a pImP dAdDy, and is so entitled to the rights any other PimP DadDY would have. This includes a low rider PinK caDDy with gold rims, diamond in the front tooth, gold plated lower tooth, 4-guage gold necklace, dominatory treatment of his hoes, and of course... the PimP cane which can be used to aid in the stressful act of walking... or azz busting. Pimps only break a sweat when they have to, any other time is purely R&R. :2guns:

And I know it has been stated before in Lucas Forums and the like, but I think Yoda uses it as a front. All throughout the OT (original trilogy :)) you hear of Yoda as this great Jedi master, greatest Jedi in all the land, but then when you meet him, he is this goofy prankster that gets in arguements with garbage can droids. Not very menacing if you ask me. I think his frailty and aloofness are a huge ruse, because the way it looked in AOTC, both obi Wan and Anakin were knocked out, so did not see Yoda bust the can of galactic whoop ass out on Dooku. Just a theory, but I think he fakes his hobbling, just to keep everyone guessing.
