I have a PNY GeForce3Ti200 and when I install any drivers it works fine but soon as I reboot it gives me a very low resolution and under the devise manager I have a yellow exclamaiton point and it says the the devise is not working properly and it gives me a code10.

Please help:

Hey Joe,

More info:

What OS?
What Driver?
Mobo?
Use of VIA or AMD drivers?

Sounds like you may need to do a complete uninstall of the Nvidia drivers, and a registry clean, to make sure you get all the residue from previous driver installations removed.

OS is WindowsxP Pro:
Drivers tried them all:
Epox EP-8K3a+
Use VIA 4in1 drivers newest version.
When I install any driver and then reboot it gives me 4bit res and wont go into 32bit.

I think I burnt the video card.

Thanks,
Joe

Hmm... that's not a good sign. Try formatting your drive... but your video card might have fried.

I think I fried the card cuase I put in my other video card, RIVA TNT2 Model64/Model64Pro and it works but this is from my other system. Can someone recomend a excellent card that works great with overclocking?

Thanks,
Joe

joek- this is a windoze XP problem... the same thing happened to me on my previous install. I'm afraid the only solution I found was to reformat & reinstall. I bet if you try your nvidia card in your other system it will work fine. I since am "babying" my usage of the computer... and xp has been fine so far. Forget about those via drivers next time you install... don't even use your own video drivers, let XP do everything by itself and it should be happy. Good luck M8,

Joe

I guess you are right, cuase when i put in a pci video card it also happened, i know this pci card works cuase I have it running on my other system that runs windows2000, but it is to late now i already sent it in for a new one. Could it be that it is a epox mobo problem cuase i never had it when I had my kg7-r this never happened to me except once but then i think i over clocked the card to high. I think there is a problem with a pci slot on my mobo ep-8k3a+ cuase when I put it in to slot 1 it gives me crazy resolution. If epox mobo had a problem with the pci slot would it not give me some kind of clue? Please help out.

Thanks,
Joe

I'm going to take a guess that you weren't using winXP on your kg7-r. If I'm right... well, then I get a cookie. If I'm wrong... well, then you are still stuck  IMHO winXP w/via chipsets doesn't like high FSB overclocking. good luk m8

Hmm I actually have been using WinXP for months now and have had no problems with high FSB. I could get my KK266 to high 160's, my 8K3A to low 190's and now my KX7 to low 200's

I don't know what to say... me KA7 no likey. I get lots of errors with it. win98 was the best overclocker on my mobo... but it is good to see xp works well for the masses & newer boards. Joek- I'm out of ideas

my $0.02 would be to reinstall... I mean format that drive, and start fresh... no FSB overclock at all. *flame suit on* :2guns:

Hi joek71

Try to do what 4.6 Power said, Fresh install XP.I had the same problem before, 4 bits color resolution. It's a registry fault.Look for what Mdzcpa said too, If you know how to do a complete registry clean, go ahead, if not, it's better to think in a fresh install of Win XP.
