Best waterblock? Maze 3. There should be some reviews coming up around here of that. Sure you can use an Eheim 1250 in series with a BIX... why not?

Hehe, BIX is not really restrictive at all compared to some other radiators Ive had.

I use three BIX radiators and a huge waterchiller block with my Eheim 1250. Youll be more than fine :)
