After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my custom aluminum peltier chiller. This custom set of waterblocks is about 7"x4"x4" (about that), and holds FOUR 40mm peltiers or THREE 48-50mm peltiers. I will include four 172w peltiers (24v 11a each). This chills water down to near freezing temperatures, and is powerful enough to chill GPU and CPU waterblocks with peltiers attached! For dual-loop set ups. I'm selling this because I've lost my job, but it's in perfect working order. It has been waterproofed on the cold side. 1/2" barbed fittings.

Asking $200/obo for the whole thing.

Also available:

$xxx - 24v 65a Powersupply. Great for use with chiller above. Large unit, adjustable from 17v to about 28v. Please contact me for pricing and further information.

$75 - Eheim 1060 Pump - Stripped powercord (can use wirenuts to reattach in your case). Cracked rear panel (happened in shipping, is COSMETIC only, is not important to the functionality of the pump). 1/2" Outliet, 1" Inlet. 600GPH. Barely used, only one left.

$25 each- 156w 48mm Potted peltiers - I have 3 available. Perfect for use in chiller above if you want a 12v system instead of a 24v system. Each draws 15a at 15v, or 12a at 12v. Will provide these with chiller above in place of 172w peltiers if desired. If you get the chiller above, I will include all three 156w peltiers for $50 if available.

$150 - PCP&C TurboCool 475w Powersupply. Modified so that there are 30amps available on the 12v line instead of the normal 16/18a limit. (perfect for powering your computer system and a 226w peltier). In perfect normal condition, best PSU on the market and will provide rock solid and isolated voltage lines. Normally sells for $200.

$40 - DLink 704P - Cable Router, great condition, went wireless so no longer need.

Everything above is in perfect working order. I will ship everything USPS Ground unless you opt to pay for a better shipping method (like Priority). US only please. Accept PayPal and Money Order. I will consider all serious offers, so please feel free to make a deal. I offer discounts for people who order multiple items.

Thanks!

I'll sell the chiller, all 7 peltiers, and the 24v psu for $300. If you want the pump too, Ill sell it all as kit for $350. As you can tell, I really need the money still ;) I won't offer this for long, so no waiting if you want this package deal :)

Okay, it's getting near summer time, so I know that there are folks out there who will want to give their system some extra cooling power. Here are some lower prices to peak your interest:

The chiller blocks, peltiers, and 24v PSU to run it all: $250

All together with the Eheim 1060 Pump: $300

The 7 peltiers alone are worth nealy $200. The chillerblock is worth at least $100, and the pump is worth about $100 as well. The powersupply is probably worth $250 or more. Thats $650 worth of stuff for $300.

If I cant sell it for that price, i'm just not gonna bother :) I'll give it one more week, then i'll take it off the market.

This chiller is still for sale. I had to lug it with me in the move.

I will send the chiller blocks, 4 172w peltiers, the 17-25v 65a powersupply, and a SlitEdge waterblock for $200 shipped.

Do you have pics of the complete setup.Say like when you had it running?

I might be interested.Bu then again i might be going over my head. How exactly does it tie in with the peltiers?

I have more pics than you want to see in the gallery, Project GameCube, Cube2003 and Cube.M3 all use that chiller.

I dont really want to go in to too much detail about how to build a system around this chiller. I only want to sell the beast, I really dont want to support it or explain how it all works together. Theres just too much going on.

This is the most powerful peltier water chiller I've ever seen. In fact, Cube.M3 was the only successful two-phase peltier chilling system I've seen on a CPU. Essentially you'd be purchasing the heart of the system, but you will need to supply pumps, radiators, etc.

This heatpump has enough power to successfully cool a CPU mounted. Imagine sending 0c temperature water through an MCW5002 with a 226w pelt on it. Yep, -20c CPU temperatures. I did it on an XP2800+ at 2800mhz or so.

However, you dont need to go that crazy with this. Without going two-stage, this will make a fine water chiller, below 0c easy. You can send below freezing water to your GPU, CPU, NB, whatever you want. It's really good at making water cold.

You will need two radiators, and at LEAST a single HE120.3. Recommended is dual BIX2 radiators or dual HE120.3 radiators. I recommend dual MCP600 pumps, although dual Eheim 1250s/1260s will work. A couple Iwaki Z pumps and a couple HE120.3 radiators and I have no doubt you will see -30c CPU temps if you run two-stage. I never took the project that far.

Here is how I plumbed the two water loops:

Loop 1: (Hot)
Res->Pump->Chiller Hotside->Rad1->Rad2->Res

Loop 2: (Cold)
Res->Pump->Chiller ColdSide->CPU->GPU->Res

Again, I really dont have the time to create a step-by-step walk through of putting a dual loop system together. At $200 its a basically you buy and thats it kind of deal ;) But it all works. The powersupply and chillerblocks will both work. You just supply the plumbing and you will be set.

It actually looks like this now. I redid the power and neoprene. The large passive blue heatsinks can be removed if youd like and need the room. They leeach about 50-100w of heat off the hotside though.

I have the money, but their is alot of moeny after to get this to work, i really want to buy it just don't have the money for the other rads and pumps, if i could run it in my system right now it would be sold!

player0 feel free to tell enlighten us with ur story of how to make a custom waterchiller, AND the reason is good is because when u use peltiers ur water gets hot, and then ur not keeping ur components as cool, SO with a water chiller, ur water and components stay cool even with agressive high watt high amp peltiers.

wfarid
02-23-2004, 08:29 PM
woah, so pretty much this water chiller is just one big peltier?

Player0
02-23-2004, 09:16 PM
Yeah, its effectively like putting a 676w peltier on your CPU, versus your standard 226w.

WesM63
02-23-2004, 09:20 PM
wfarid,
Kinda.. it actually "chills" the water before it get to the CPU. Hence the name ;)

But yea.. its actually 3pelts made into one big one. Kinda like a cascade pelt system if you have one on the cpu.

Player0
02-23-2004, 09:33 PM
Its still a good way to think about it. The cold water is simply a thermal interface, kind of like Arctic Silver between the CPU and the Heatsink. In terms of cooling power... its exactly like mounting a 676w peltier on the CPU, minus extra transfer innefficiencies.

I dont have any other pumps or radiators. Im also not going to drop the price any more than this. Its over $600 worth of equipment, and probably $50 worth of shipping I'm giving away for $200. Even at this point, its hardly worth it for me to sell this.
