Hi all,
Does your HSF push the cool air on your CPU, or does it pull the hot air off?

i allways push, though i thouroughly recommend trying both because different heatsinks and case configurations can change what works best.
the old alpha 6035 had a shroud which meant pulling was often best for instance...
other tips for air cooling... make some kind of ducting to your case fans... i used to make a kind of hoover arrangement in the case and suck air out away from the motherboard around the cpu and this used to drastically reduce temps

Hi Wacky,
I am sorry, I misread your other thread on push/pull question.
When I had air, my HSF was stock at pulling off the heat.
I did not change it, so with the manufactorer pulling heat off, I would guess that is the most efficient, by their test methods.
Take care.......

using my coolmaster hc-001 (think that the model, its the heat pipe one) and a 60 to 92mm adapter and a 92mm fan. I found it better to pull with the difference being about 4c at full load.
Now on my stock athlon cooling it worked better pushing.

Hi all,
I have absolutely no idea why this has become two threads. I most certainly did not post two threads, I know better. The last time I checked the board at 10:00AM EST there was only one thread. Does anyone have any idea what happened?
