Hi Fellas,

Based on your own experience how's these scores sound to you?

Info: Pair of 40Gb MAXTOR Diamond Max plus 8 - ATA133 in RAID 0.

80MB/s seems about right for two drives.

Thanx for the reply Drake. And what about the huge difference between the read and write? I have seen very similar results between the two.

Regards, KODE.

I imagine it takes more to physically imprint data than it does to look at it, so I'm guessing that's normal.

Hi Kode :)

How's the things on Rio? BTW, " Mangueira" was better :D
About the ATTO score they are really good for me.Don't worry about the difference between reading and writing operation. It's normal. It takes more times for the heads to write than to read.Of course it's only a number for sequential reading and using a 32MB size file.Real Life tend to be different.Anyway for ATTO score they are excellent. What's the number on Block size?16K or 64K?

Hi m8,

Everything 's "cool" here in Rio, and there? I'm out of luck! my "Samba school"( That was ridiculous, I know) is Portela, but I don't care much for this, hehehe

Glad to hear that I have good atto scores. I used W2K with NTFS 4k clusters with 16k stripe.

Regards, KODE.

I agree with sptw, the ATTO scores are good. The read/write difference is quite normal for you set up:)

KG7-Rs have ATA100 High point built in.

Scores look good to me,. but I admit to be unfamiliar with "atto" 30 gig drives are a little older I assume.

Yes you are corect, sorry about not knowing the ATA, my ATA is 100, here are the new scores after Defrag. Is there a way to increase the speed?

Hi joek71,

Rising up your FSB will result in higher scores I believe.

You maybe correct, but if I go higher on the FSB my system crashes, I have AthlonXP 1500+'1.330 Gig'. So I guess I reached my limit with this cpu.

Looking at your sig, I see that your RAM is only rated to run at 133MHz, so unless you're running asynch it your RAM that's holding you back, not the CPU.

I tried to raise to 155-160 FSB, but it halts and wont boot, any comments? How do I make asynch?
