Uncle Sam has decided that I can get some of the money he stole from me last year back. Not nearly as much as he took but enough to buy some new parts. :D

I'm tearing apart allmost every box I have and starting over. I have a bunch of drives and they are finding new homes in different boxes. I have 2x 15g 7200 maxtors that I use for a RAID array in my main box, a WD40BB, a WD120BB, and I will be getting a WD120JB.

Here's the deal. The 120BB has all my backup images, important data, MP3's, programs, and umm.. Art on it. I want to use the 120BB in my PVR box for storage but I have to offload over 100g of data to the 120JB drive that will be used for file storage in the maix box. Now that I'm really thinking about it would the 120JB do better in the PVR box or should I use the 120BB with 2m cashe in the PVR?

Or does it not really matter and I'm just wasting time  :D

Its really up to personal preference...I would prolly put the JB in the PVR and leave the BB as the file server.

The reason I say this is because the 8MB cache would be better served in the PVR since the video could use the extra speed, whereas the files don't really need that extra spped...but that just my 2c

That's what I was thinking while I was typing it :D

That saves me some time and work too. Still going to have to do 3 clean installs of XP and rewire 3 boxes all why trying to clean my room. I know i'm going to loose someting.
