IM about to order my PSU system.
Just a quick question which should I go with a 3 or a 4 fan system?
Super-Flower 520 W ATX Power Supply with 4 fans
with 4 - 80 mm fans or
CoolMax ATX 550 W Triple Fan Aluminum w/ LED Fan
2 - 80 mm fan and a 92 mm
they both seem proper exhaust just wondering about the noise?

Enermax makes an adjustable fan system, and Vantec makes a PSU with stealth fans in them... I've not heard much from either of these two brands, but I'd bet that the CoolMax would be quieter.

Just because it has more, does not mean it's better. Personally, I'd chose an Antec or Enermax.
What are the PSUs being sold for?

I would do a little more research on the products. Those prices don't seem right for the wattage.

By research I meant reviews, buyer opinions, etc...
Not saying that they wouldn't get the job done, just saying that because it has more fans doesn't make it better at doing what it does.

just thinking???
4- 80mm = about 30cfm*4=120cfm
2-80mm+1-92mm= 60+44= 104cmf
would it justify noise level?

Drake mentioned antec psu.
I currently use an antec trupower 480.
Its wonderful.
Very quiet but when my system heats up, the fans increase in speed until heat in my system decreases.
Only has two fans but it works better than the three fan clunker I bought from compusa. that one was a 550 and it died really quickly.
if you can manage it, go into a store and lift up the psus. the heavier ones are usually better....more heatsinks inside perhaps...i dunno. but the heavy ones are relaly good.
Don't get the vantec. I hear the vantecs are expensive cause they use stealth fans but arent much better than enermax or antec.
Actually if i could go about it again, id prolly go with an enermax or pcpowerandcooling
very quiet, very durable.
but im happy with my antech purchase too, just have more experience with enermax and pcpowerandcooling is recommended by the guys at TechTv :p

I too use a Antec PSU. Works great for most things and you can pick 'em up at CompUSA. PC Power and cooling are great but more $$. I also remember mention of something that starts with a T but I can't find the link.
