Green Vs. Brown..the diffrence

Ok help me out here. What is the diffrence between the Green Xp's and the brown Xp's? I was looking at some on eBay and some guy that was selling it said the Green ones are newer and better. But he did'nt state how.

Not neccesarily I had a green 1700 week 51 of 2001 and I have had a 2000+ week 8 2002, so it does not always mean newer and better has nothing to do with color pay more attention to the stepping that is a better way to try and predict overclockability
