Hi Mike,
There is no doubt it is a good rig, spendy, but good
The next question is, do you want a factory made rig, or do you want to make one for much less cost.
Might give Ranger Gav a shout. He has one and will. I'm sure, be more than happy to tell you his thoughts on it.
Take care........

Not sure what you mean by that bigg.
Anyway I think Vapochill systems are great, and considering that for only a hundred $ more than what I've just spent on a watercooling system I would say they are well worth the money. If it wasn't for the fact that I love my Lian Li case so much I would have got a Vapochill instead ... kinda wish I had just gone for it now.

Damn double posting. You can delete it. :) Mike
That is what I was thinking. If I am going to spend amost 300 $ for a best wate color. Why not freeze my cpu for 200 more.

Precisely.
My watercooling rig cost me £300, plus the Lian Li case at £180 ... That's £480
Now the Vapochill comes prebuilt into a case for £500!! Admitedly the case isn't the best in the world, but it looks alright and damn does it cool your system, silently too ... All that for an extra £20!!

The vapochill is nice, but the Prometia isn't much more money I dont think. I'm getting just the bottom prometia unit, the aluminum panels for it, and putting it on my lian-li case :)
If you want a custom looking super cooling box, going for the seperate prometia cooling unit is the way to go :)
don't forget, if your serious enough to get a vapo or promy, then you will also need to get a tec liquid cooling looop for the graphics card.

yes zub 0 is nice.
but i just don't care for that dam generic looking cases.
but if you gotz the need for speed and dont really care to make something personal then i guess vapor is the the way to go they now offer windows in there cases and u could mod slightly.

both the promm and vapo come in stand alone versions. the prommy you can just plop any old case on top of it, but the vapo needs a lot more modding.
They look better than you would think...
I like mine :D

Sorry for being so long in getting to this thread :)
Yes I have a Vapochill ... one of the older "original" models. And I love it :D My sig pretty much shows what I've acheived with it, but I was at one stage running my xp1600+ (1400mhz), at 1852mhz stable.... over 400mhz overclock! :D Unfortunately the chip had taken a little damage and doesn't seem to like such high speeds anymore :(
So to the crushing .... yes they will do it, much like a HSF will if you're not suitably careful. I have killed a couple of old t'birds with my vapo by not being careful enough. Having said that, all the new models now come with special plastic shims to help avoid that problem (which, it should be noted, is an AMD only problem).
I've had a sometimes bumpy road with my Vapo, but all in all I've been happy as larry with it. It ALWAYS gets attention at LAN parties (even from a guy I know who has a super-cooled water system, using a refridgerator system to bring liquid to -16*C!!).
One thing that I can attest to though is Asetek's brilliant customer support!! Their forums are great and will be able to answer most of the minor worries and problems that new users (or even experieneced ones), encounter. And their support staff are second to none! I had a problem with my Vapo while it was still under warranty, and I had to return it to Asetek Denmark. They re-imbursed me the freight I paid to get it to them, once they found the problem was under warranty (I had made some minor modifications but that didn't seem to worry them); and they fixed the problem in less than a week and sent it back (apparently had a blockage in a capillary hose, which they replaced; and also the did some minor upgrades to the cooler unit!!).
My system had been runing better than ever since I got it back from them ... and did so until I took it to another LAN party. After I got home it started running cooler than it ever has (which was great); but it started crashing ...and then started not being able to hold its temp's anymore. I've contacted Asetek (the unit is now outside of warranty, although the repair they did may have a warranty), and they have now said that if I return the unit they will replace it! :D :D (with a new model I hope, seeing as they have changed the design considerably).
Now, even after these troubles, I still love my super-chiller :) And I can't wait to get it running again!! Its sooo much easier than a water-cooling system, but you don't get the joy of having something that you built yourself. But believe me, its soooo worth it :D :D
Phew ... can anyone say "long-winded"? ;)
EDIT: Click my sig picture to go to my homepage ... not that I've updated it in ages ;)
one thing to note, however about both prommy and vapo is that you still need a liquid/tec system for the graphics card, and if you re really serious, another circuit for NB/HDs/RAM
