Thank you WD for replacing my hard drives. They actually processed extremely fast, I will get them tommarow, beleive it or not. Cool. They are new hard drives all together, so no chance of getting my old data back.
Which...also means theres a good chance WD didn't get to see the data already on the drives. You know thats sort of a scary thought, my entire life was on those drives, and I sent them to someone else. They could have gotten passwords, saw my pr0n collection, all my roms and warez. Scary.
Luckily, the drives were raided, so they would have had to hook them up on the HPT controller to see what was on them, if the servo motors were working correctly.
Next time I rma a drive, im sending it through a bulk eraser.
Funny thing, the two WD1000JB drives I had slightly different model numbers. WD actually replaced them with the same model numbers.
Ones a WD1000JB-00CWE0,
the other a WD1000JB-32CWE0
I wonder what the difference is, and why on earth did they give me a 00 and a 32 replacement. Id rather they had given me two of the same back. But...ah well.
