Well, considering it's a GPU block, and a nb is not a GPU, not many people have thought to try it. Try to get some measurements and then compare it to your mobo.

The issue would be mounting and component clearance. I do not beleive that the mounting holes on the Swiftech block will line up with the NB HSF mounting holes in the mobo...if the mobo you are working on even has any. I suppose you could try to epoxy the block on, but it would be rather permanent...or maybe not...the block may be too heavy for epoxy to work.
Next, you have to consider that the hoses to the block are fed in from the side, so mobo component clearance would need to be checked.
As I have not heard of anyone else doing this, I am skeptical that it can be done in a cost beneficial way. That doesn't mean you shouldn't check it out yourself and try though:)

cooldude, did you ever go anywhere with this? Just curious...

i was pretty sure that you could because i was thinking about doing the same.. not positive though
watercooling the NB is basically pointless. don't bother going any farther. It would pay off more to spend your time getting another radiator or cleaning up the inside of your case or something.

I addressed this on Zenvota's other thread too. If it's an NF2 board that he is looking to seriously overclock, than cooling the NB makes a huge difference. OPP hit 250mhz only by TEC cooling the NB along with the vdd mod. Without the TEC he was capped at 237.

Bigg, thanks for the oh so valuable commentary.
It is, in fact, an NF2 board and I happen to have a friend with an extra Swiftech GPU block. I was wondering, very specifically, if 1cooldude ever went anywhere with his efforts to cool his NB with a Switech GPU block. Hence my question posted above...
Thanks for the replies, zen and mdz. I'll go track down that other thread and see if there's anything applicable in there.

I think as long as the block is bigger then then the chip it would, cause look

" Mounts on boards with Center to Center Hole distances ranging form 2.10" - 2.43" " -Danger Den for Z-Chip
If my motherboard was here I'd go measure that distance out, but its on RMA. =( So I'll rely on one you to check it out for me jazzy and 1cool
