DD Reservior Fill/Bleed/Drain

Ok im setting up my wc system like pump > wb > rad > res > pump ... using this reservior to fill i just pour the liquid into the reservior.. then can i turn on the pump? or do i need to like blow water into the pump first.. once i get the water started do i have to turn off the pump then fill the reservior back up then turn the pump on again and so on until the whole system is filled with the liquid?

Then after it is filled what is the best way to bleed the system using this reservior.. I have it on the bottom of my case and it is sucked out of the reservior into the pump right next to it..

When i need to drain the system what is the best way to do this?
