A buddy sent me the following pic and asked whether there might be another air cooling solution which could provide a few more cfm.

I think its blowing on the wrong side of the case though ;)

i don't think it makes a lot of noise... it would be a low hum I think.
btw, I don't see the use of placing it @ the back where the motherboard tray blocks all the heatdissipation...
I use a big hi-speedblower which is about 260mm , blowing cold air towards the open case, and two 60mm ystech fans placed at the sides of the pal 8492 sucking from the heatsink and a delta 80 mm on the heatsink blowing.
so the cool air gets blown towards the 80mm delta sucking it in blowing on the heatsink who gets sucked by the two 60mm fans.:)
this sounds like some totally perverted movie :rolleyes: all the suckin'andblowin'...;)

Hehe. I would highly doubt if he actually uses that thing. Would he ever be able to power the sucker? :eek: That thing looks industrial strength by the very definition of the word... :)

I use one of them at work, it runs on a 1hp, 220v electric motor
We use it to clear out the dust when we cut concrete floors.
I stood about 5 feet in front of it with a wind gage. it read 63mph
