I have the following parts:
Dangerden Maze3-SHD
Hydor L20 185gph pump
BIX with 2x 120mm fan
15' clearflex tubing
i wanna know how i can create a closed loop system with these components.

you need to connect everything in series and you are missing an air trap, the air trap goes at the end before the pump intake
i sugest you setup your rig in the following order, from pump to warer block, rad, air trap and return to pump.

you will need 1 extra thing - a T or a Y connector to make a fill/bleed line. place it at the highest point in the circuit eg
water in air out

-->water-->

teh air should accumilate at the top of the bleed line which is also used to fill the system up.
You may also need a bung to plug up the end of the bleed line incase the water tries to escape :D
EDIT: picture got screwed up with daft html text formatting but i hope you get the idea.

yeah i get it, anyway to close it off at the top of the air trap?

wow!!!!! i didn't know people were doing that with th y spliters, i'll keep that in mind for my next wc sys
you can also fill from the air trap if you build one like mine, i'll try to post a pick a little later, i need to make my digicam work first

Everyone's got you going now :)
:beerm8s: Welcome Drozdov :beerm8s:
Nice to see you over here.
I'd just cap the airtrap with a rubber stopper. Just put a T in the highest point of the system with about 6" of hose for a trap.

There is a really easy way to do it...all you need to do is take a connector that you would use to splice two sections together and while they are still unconnected submerse both ends in a container of water, prime the pump and turn it on wait till all the air bubbles are out and when they are, connect the two ends while they are still submerged. then get rid of the container and voila you r done .

about my air trap, i put my air trap together out of pvc tubing, brass fittings and a ball type valve.
the parts are:
one 1/2 threaded pvc t, one 1/2 threaded pvc elbow, two 1/2 male thread to 3/8 hose bar fittings, one 1/2 male thread to 1/4 female thread fitting, one 1/4 male to 1/4 male fitting, one 1/4 thread ball type valve and one 1/4 male thread to 3/8 hose bar fitting the hole cost was about 13 bucks, you can find all this parts at home depot

Hey m8 could you take 1 more Piccie a lil more of a frontal angle...and is that one barb by the ball valve running out to the Rad on the back of the case? Oh and how did you mount that blled system to the case its hard to tell in that pic...I think I am gonna go to Home depot and get those parts tomorrow I really like that setup...Thanks

i mounted the air trap by drilling holes in the appropiate place then i used plastic wire ties wich i tied realy tight with a tie gun wich you can also find at home depot. the bar by the valve is not runing to the rad, the valve is there to make the wc sys a closed loop once i am done filling and bleeding air out.
i'll try to get a better picks but its kinda difficult with my digicam cause it sucks.

Thanks ralf...much appreciated I am gonna swing by Home Depot tomorrow and pick those parts up...I also have to pick up a 5" hole saw so I can cut a hole for my 120mmfan on my BIX.

Closed Loop
If done correctly their's no need to include an air trap in your system
submerge the L20 pump in the cooling medium & prime several times before closing, ensures no air trapped in the lines
Well it's worked 4 me 4 several years now
