Just curious to know what cpu temps you get with your watercooling setup. Post your ambient, case and cpu temps please. And also post your watercooling specs. Thanks.:)

WaterCooling?? Whats that?

Just Kidding. Mine is all torn apart right now, waiting on some stuff so I can install the Maze 3-1.

My setup Is Maze 3-1 w/226W Tec, 1250 pump and a Big Heater Core out of a Datsun 280Z.

Before It was just a Maze 3 and I was seeing similar temps to fara's.

But If you wanna talk AIR

Stock 2200+, W/Volcano 7+ on Med.
CPU Diode: 43C
Case: - no case, on desk :D

Room: 45C

About 23-27 Idling/surfing the web but 37ish under load after 4 hours of bf1942 :2guns:

Anyone ever use vcool?
with idle loop on and coolbits on, I run around 13C and load about 37-39C

Check my setup out on my first post in this section.

That's with passive cooling, no fans but a big ass tranny cooler.
I just picked up 2 120mm Sunon fans from work. We dismantled an old cdrom tower server. I grabbed the psu 2 8head scsi cables and 8 molex splitters. I love migrating servers, because I get to salvage whats good :)

I'll slap the fans on soon...

Are you sure you got your temps right here? No way can your mobo be running almost as hot as you CPU!!

i think the mobo temp is wrong cuz when the msi alert program tells me the chipset is hot, i go to it, touch it and it doesn't feel hot

the other temps are most likely right. its about 83+f in my room right now and the cpu tem is abou 105f, i think my wuzzy ass pump is hurting the wc sys performance but its all good!!! i will replece it with some thing stronger pretty soon

touch it and it doesn't feel hotSounds like a classic case of not enough conduction happening between the nb and the heatsink on it. I'd remove the nb, dab a doodle of AS3 on, and reattach it.

i have an msi kt3 and a danger den z chip block on the chipset, i checked how well the block makes contact and its sitting there pretty well, i checked the base of block too and it doesn't feel warm at all, i think maybe the mobo reads the heat from some other source. maybe the south bridge. i don't know whats going on in there but my comp runs just fine, at least it seems that way.

Ah :D if there's no stability issues, I suppose there's not a problem :).

Speaking of... I think something like 'Windows Up Time' should be added to the leaderboard.

Sorry drake, but i'am gonna have to disagree w/you on this one, Because most o/c and tweakers have to reset their computers and that would pose no relavence to our o/cs. Yah know, what if i install a game or new nic and I have to reboot? Their goes my windows up time.

Although I like the concept of "uptime", I have to agree with Wes that it may not be meaningful for everyone. As an example my Server has been up for at least a few weeks without reboot. It serves basic network files and MP3s as well as hosts BF1942 games recently. It just runs and runs. The gamer, on the other hand, is only up a max of a few days at most as I'm constantly in the BIOS trying new things.

That said, I'd like to know how long others have had their systems running without reboot. Maybe not leaderboard material....but it's a neat stat.

I was surprised when I made it 22 days without ever going near the power button :D and I was used to the system crashing at least twice a day.

But you're right, I've never matched that due to drivers, need to tweak, etc.

Oh well, just a thought

i've heard of net bsd and free bsd servers that go for years at a time. one pc even ran for like 20 yrs. without a reboot

I'd like to know the source of that little nugget of info ... I don't see it being much more than a myth :D
