Hey Guys,

Since I am no longer tied up with Ninjamicros. How do we want to increase our Number in DC projects. Any Suggestions.

Hmm...no ideas really...but anything you think of to increase our size is okay with me :)

since i checked, there was nothing in the download section.
could we put our dc setup programs there to make it easily accessable?
how about a limited e-mail account with LN after a certain # of woots? at least to get the ball rolling.
just a quick thought!

I think we should make LiquidNinjas.com more Google friendly.
Now, when you search anything that has to do with LiquidNinjas site the only thing you can get to show up is the front page, the front page poll and the seti stats, with alot of searching I might add.
So maybe we could add more keywords to the front page to make the site more searchable.
For instance maybe we could link to F@H, SETI and Statsman. As well as add words like liquid cooling, hardware, software, help, folding, seti and team.

But at the same time I too like a small team so my feelings are a bit mixed.

I like a small team, but I don't mind a big one  considering our size we're whooping arse in F@H, so the more we have folding behind us the faster we climb up the ladder, right :D.

I like the idea of getting more members on the team. The best way to do this is by active recruiting from other boards we might visit and to encourage those new members we get here at LN to join.

As far as making us more visible on the net, that has been coming with time. We have applied to most of the search engines and over time more page references will be linked. This is already especially true for the reviews we have done. If you type in the hardware we have reviewed in google, we are near the top. However, it will take much longer for our forums to appear in search engines....such is the nature of the beast with forum content.

Our membership has been continuing to ramp up. Most of it comes from review links and references from use of LN sig tags on other boards. We need to actively recruit these new members.

Keep one thing in mind. Given the size of our member base, the participation level we have with our DC projects is exceptional. We should be proud of that and what it says about our community here at LN:)

Our site does well on some search engines. Which is surprising because its set up ALL WRONG for them. The LiquidNinjas.com design is ALL screwed up. Whats up now was never meant to be permanent, it was done in a week ;) Unfortunately, all my time has been spent putting out fires elsewhere. Once we resolve the server issues, I will be revising the site, which will help with Advertising and Search Engines, as well as making things look more professional.

I'm not sure we want to start actively recruiting members from other sites. We dont want to get in trouble with other sites. I think we should just make ourselves more visible. This has already given us a pretty good DC base.

I beleive you misunderstand what I'm saying. I'm referring to inviting others we meet on other forums to stop by and check LN out. This is done by offering them a place to get good info...not "stealing" DC team members from competing teams. You'd be surprised how many inquiries about LN I get while posting on Xtreme, AMDMB, overclockers, and few other places. A good few of those folks are now active members here on our forums. I invited and they checked it out. They chose to become members.

Don't forget your friends and family that have PCs. Tell them F@H is for a good cause and that they won't even notice that F@H is running.

The most succesful approach for me , has been to focus on the scientific benefits initially, people are willing to consider it then.

I havn't had any firm commitments yet, but I help a lot of friends with their pc's for free, and I'm about to start insisting that If they want my free help then they should fold for my team.

Hehe, evil I know, but should be effective.

As for LN, The Down to earth discusion and genuine advise, mixed with the overall positive tone of the forum are what drew me in. That and my interest in H2O cooling.

I searched for "liquid cooling" on google and here I am. There are an increasing number of clowns on the net talking rubbish, LN is like a haven from them to me.

Bigger isn't allways better...........more cpu's on our small team would be good tho.

I'm very proud of our little team, but would never begrudge new members joining our groovy crew.:)
