I have a 9500Pro and I'm quite happy with it. Had a 4200 before that and like it too. Just don't get a PNY. They're flamable.

I've seen 9700s (non pro) in the $250 range. I would recommend that over a 4600.

Anywho, for just something to puff out pixels, I'd go down to a refurbished/discount electronics store and see if they have any fair GF3s for sale (saw a GF3Ti-500 for $30 awhile ago, which is worth it in every way).

ok i fixed my comp , well sort of, yea, everything worx, and my card is still dead tho. ok here is where you all laugh at me. i replaced it with, umm a Trident 960 8 meg, with no 3D dupport.

and the laughing starts in

I used my S3 4meg untill about 6 months ago for gaming....
3fps got to me in renegade
so i bought a GF2MX 32meg

In my gaming rig.
u can tell seti is more important...
