No. The dremel will 1) break if you put too heavy a load on it by pressing it sideways or downwards and 2) go through at least $200 worth of bits before finishing a block that will not sell or be as good performing as something for half the price.

The cheapest way to get into milling is to pick up an apprenticeship somewhere. If not you can spend about $700 on a manual milling machine. This is not a cheap hobby.

you might try locking the block in a vies and using standard drill bits to start your channels...and adremel to finish off the detal

Best and cheapest shall never go together.

There's a saying in racing. Speed costs money.

I'd just buy a Maze3 and a BIX and go cheap on other things (not the pump)

If you can find someone with a milling machine or drill press you should be able to make a waterblock. However, as Fara said you'll get cheap, but not best.

copper is a bugger to work with so when your doing this for christ sakes listen to the technicians! they know thier stuff if they say something isn't going to work then don't do it.

take small cuts, lubricate lots and go very very slowly... your in for a long job so good luck
