This thread is for me and any others to post info on tweaking the Epox 8-RDA and 8-RDA+ boards.

For drivers, I would recommend using
these (http://www.americompx.com/uberdrivers.htm) drivers.

Latencys are very important on this board, going from 166 cas2.0-2-2-5, to 200 cas3.0-4-4-8 made for no speed difference.

In addition, going from 205 cas2.0-2-2-3 to 211 cas2.0-2-2-5 makes for a minisicule difference. In this board I would recommend running 2-2-2-5 timings even if your ram will do 10mhz fsb higher at say cas2.5-3-3-6.

Also, on my board, when running at FSBs above around 200, the chipset heatsink is inadequite, the chipset was getting up to 60*c. I would recomment taping on a 50mm fan, which fits perfectly, or a change of heatsink. However, the chipset hole spacing is not the standard spacing.

TY, Another person who had just got the board was going to make a thread like this, so I said what the heck. Also, right now IMHO, the 8-RDA+ is the best AMD mobo out.

I need these too. The only change I can see is the updated audio driver. I never had any problem with the SW IDE driver (SW stand for...?). Thx. I'll post a link on another forum if you like. I know they'll be interested.

Hi,
with the latest 3129 Bios and 2.03 drivers now fitted the main difference so far was when creating/reimaging my hard drive .... originally it was taking 6-8 minutes which was twice as long as my Asus A7V333 but now it is between 2-3 minutes :D
