Hello all,
Well i finally got into really trying to oc my 1800+ and MSI KT3 Ultra combo... and its not going to good. I tried upping the FSB and it just hangs.... its at the stock multiplier (the exact # i forget offhand). I heard that there is a 1.5 divider on the mobo that lets me run at a 166 fsb with ease but how do i set it to that? i tried just putting at 166 assuming it would do it on its own but no luck... for the exacts on the setup its the first rig in my sig... thanks in advance

Mine did 185 max on the FSB witout artifacts. I only had the board for a week before I sold it so I can't offer too much.

Is the CPU unlocked? If so drop the multiplier as low as you can and then throw the FSB at it.

I think the 1800+ has a 10.5x multi. Is the CPU a pally or a T-bred?

I know that mine didn't like 166 at the stock multi and voltage.

Normally I just see what FSB I can get then up the multi till it's not stable.

Aye, the best way to go with OCing is to find the highest stable FSB, then the highest stable clock.

You will definitely need to drop the multiplier to reach 166mhz FSB. The 1/5 is automatic when you set the FSB to 166mhz on your mobo.
