Curses guys,

I have been running a 120mm fan in the space of 3 empty 5 1/4 " bays on the front of my case.

It looked pretty ordinary just a fan sitting in a hole and the dust I don't want to discuss.

So I cut and shaped a timber panel to mount in the space nicely, then stretched some black openweave material across the front neatly, and mounted the fan up to it.

It fits great, looks neat, And Puts my temp straight up to 58deg c
from high fortys on a hot day today. Drat!

I was expecting some loss of airflow, but this is rediculous. I can't think of a more suited material than the one I'm using, and I'm considering going back to dusty and cool.

Boy I want watercooling badly.

Dusty and cool is the way I go :p. Just give the case and fans a blast or two of compressed air and I'm good to go.

I've used Scotch-Brite pads from 3M placed in front of the fans. You'd be supprised how much it catches. All you have to do is wash the pad when it gets full and put it back on.

Don't know how much of a airflow hit it is but you can try it. :)
