wat is the standard size of ide cables.

i need me some long ones for da server case (chietec matrix) dat i got for water cooling system.

i'm gon go round. might as well. and looks sexier ;)

Not sure...I think 18" is most common, with 24" being considered long.

According to the ATA standards, the official maximum length is 18 inches.There are companies that sell 24" and even 36" IDE cables.They are not recommended because they can lead to data corruption and other problems, but many people use these with success.
