Don't leave sharp metal floppy drive cages on the floor. I just spent 3 hours in the hospital to get 6 of the most painful stitches in my life as I did a number on my right foot ;)

Maybe I need to invest in a good work bench lol.

Haha...no...i did have to rip up my teeshirt though. It would NOT stop bleeding. I couldnt stand on it either. Made a nice mess on the carpeting tho :P

I hope your foot heals soon.
As I write this there is a floppy drive cage, with a floppy drive in it, on the floor about one foot away from me, and I'm not kidding there really is.

I think I will move it now.

Who said being a computer guru isn't a hazardous job :p

Sorry to hear about the foot. I had a reverse situation, though, I stepped on a TNT2 and did a number on it!

A work bench will make your time messing with computers so much more productive, and safer to boot.

Not for the squeemish, but if you are curious to see just how much damage a floppy cage can do to a foot, here are some extremely blurry pictures of the aftermath. Funny, it didnt even hurt until the doctor got to it ;)

Man, you do good work.

At least they gave you good drugs. :)

I can't remember how many times I've F'ed myself up and it really didn't hurt till I got some "medical attention" from a "professional"

When they say this won't hurt they mean it won't hurt them.

Hurting you, now that's a different story.

Guess you won't be going snowboarding soon.

Good drugs? No nothing! Some antibiotics, and advil. Not even vicoden or anything! It sucks.

Actually, the doctor made no false hopes of it not hurting. He walked in to the room and basically said "Oh, that part of your foot. Thats where all the nerve endings are, thats going hurt." This was about 30 minutes before the stitches...so, it gave me lots of time to tense up and go insane ;)

The worst part though is the bills tho. I figgure this little incident is going to cost about $150 when all said and done. Thats with medical insurance. Prolly 10x that without hehe.

That's the only good thing about living in Canada, that little incident would not have cost you anything and they would have sent you home with about 30 free T3's.

When I broke my wrist I got hit for $20 every time I was in the doctor's office.

Everytime I was in I was asking for more painkillers. If I'm paying 20 for you to look at my cast and say "just a few more weeks" I'm getting something for my $$ :D

I think It cost $1500-2000 when it was all said and done. I paid about $200. I'll take that. :)

Did you go to the ER or a doctor? It only costs me $20 for whatever if I go to the ER. Still $150 is not too bad.

Yeah, though docs can be tricky lol... When my dad broke his ankle the doc asked, "Does it hurt?" My dad said "No, not really, it feels pretty good." Then the doc took my dad's foot and yanked hard on it and my dad pretty much screamed. Doc said, "Oh, it should hurt." :D But that was a bad one - when my dad's friend got over to him, his foot was twisted around exactly 180 degrees from the direction it should normally point! He was chasing a calf, calf ran into the 4-wheeler and they all flew into the air. 4-wheeler did a full flip in the air and landed on my dad's leg... Anyways, that is my 3rd-hand doc story lol...

Hope you feel better soon P0!!
