Hi Joek71,
What bios are you using?Try to update for the latest version CT bios version (http://www.sudhian.com/faqs.cfm/fid/4/fcid/23.sud).Update the driver to match the bios version. It's a Highpoint Driver V. 2.34.What's block and cluster size?Consider 16K/16K as a good number for performance. There have been several reports of reduced RAID performance on VIA chipsets.VIA have released a Patch (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=66#raid) to address this issue. Many people have had considerable success by applying the George Breese's unofficial PCI latency patch. (http://www.georgebreese.com/net/software/)And for last, if you have a considerable amount of memory (at least 256 MB or more) you can consider to patch the register on Win XP.Click on Start, Run. Type in regedit and hit Enter. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\SessionManager\Memory Management].Edit the "DisablePagingExecutive" option. Right click on this entry and select Modify.Set it to 1.This disables pageable code (Drivers, executables, etc.) from being sent to the Pagefile, rather being kept in RAM instead. This can greatly improve performance.
Edit: Forget those Via and George Breeze patch.Your mobo use a AMD 761 chipset, and i don't think that it can be useful for you.
