What's everyone running?
I have a a7v266-e 2x 7200/100 HD's, 1 CD-RW, 1 DVD, 5 fans total including a Delta ffb812she, and 2 cold cathode tubes. All on an Antec PP352x 350w PS and I was wondering if I have enough juice.

I have 8K3A with 2xMaxtors 7200/133, CD-ROM, CD-RW, Digidoc, 4 fans ranging from 60 to 120mm on an Antec pp-412. You should have enough power. I would not worry unless you start seeing random reboots and such. Oh and I will be adding a Cold cathode soon too:D

I have one 430W PSU which I don't like using as it's LOUD.
Various systems with 300W PSUs left over from when I had AMD systems.
Also have some 200 to 235W PSUs running Celerons.

My Antec TruePower 550w beast just came in today, and its HEAVY as hell omg. But, they say that when it comes to PSUs, the heavier they are, the more quality they have.
Replacing my Enermax 431w unit. Which replaced my older Enermax 451w unit hehe. Needless to say, I've had more than enough power for years, but I also run one of my pelts off of it.
Anyway, Im sure your 350w unit is more than enough for running what you have. Its Antec as well, and in my recent research, one of the better PSUs right now. The TruePower units are even better though. Remember, a TruePower 350w is more powerful than a regular 350w because it can provide more wattage simultaniously (the 5v, 12v and 3.3v lines are all seperate in TruePower models, not combined). See the Antec website for more details.
But, your fine, cathods draw nearly no current, your four drives really only impact on start up (so youd have boot problems), and you dont have anything really eating up 5v current, so your motherboard's getting it all.

Hi Tom,
Remember a short while back, the "Sparkle" PSU was the only one to own.
Boy, do times change..I wouldn't have anything but an Antec, at the moment.....Excellent quality and good price.
Take care........

I was at CompUSA today eyeing up the 430 and the 550. Not too bad on the price so I might get one. Every once and a while I'll loose my HD on boot or the CD or something but all I have to do is shut it off and it comes back. This is the one I have Antec (http://www.antec-inc.com/p_pp352x.html) but it's one of the early ones without the rpm sensor. I have a crappy compUSA 400w in my other box and another antec 300w floating around somewhere so I seem to have more P.S.'s than computers. Gotta fix that.

Farabomb, loosing a hard drive on boot could be things other than the PSU.
My Abit boards do that sometimes if I have CD-Rom in IDE port #1 instead of a hard drive. Weird.
You can also set Delay for HDD in BIOS...some hard drives need an extra few seconds at boot up to spin up fully before detection. Especially with slower HDs or faster PCs :)
But it could be the PSU too.

It has to be something deeper. I've been having problems all weekend. I think some of my HD cables are shot. I bought 2 ATA100 cables from BB (compUSA wanted $30  BB $17) but for some strange reason XP does not see my 120g anymore??? It might be time for a clean install.
Oh yea and I lost sound, The RAID wo'nt work in RAID ata100's fine though. soo.... everything's A.F.U. and I'm scratching my head. My friend is coming over to help me kill a BIG bottle of sake I got at mitsuwa so I might do it later/tommrow.
:drinky: :drinky:
or I might fix it :2guns:

Right now almost all my systems are running with the later Enermax models. I bought a boat load of them last fall when I got a great deal from my supplier. I was building 5 client rigs at the time, so I was buying in bulk and picked up a few extras.
For the Poll:
Gamer - EG465 431w
Multimedia - EG365 350w
Kid's - EG365 350w
SETI - Deer 300w
