Just untill I get the money to buy a "nForce2" board......I'm using a MSI KT3-Ultra~XP-2400(unlocked) @ 2268Mhz~256meg of PC-2700 ram.....
I can't get any higher then 150 FSB.
Looking to get to at least 1/5 divider which kicks in at 152FSB, I max'ed the Vcore to 1.70V and upped the AGP and RAM setting too. Everything else in the bios is set to normal. Any ideas?

Thanks....

Hey johnny5,
Correct me if i'am wrong but i'am pretty shure the 1/5 divisor don't kick in untill 166FSB. I had problems with system #4 in my sig aroung 150-155 untill i tried 166 then it worked fine. Are your ram timings maxed out? If so try 2t instead of 1t. Either that or relax them. If all else fails drop a multiplier and up the FSB. That Pc2700 should do 166FSB, it's rated too. I got some PC2100 that does 170FSB max timings, so 166 for Pc2700 should'nt be a prob.

Good luck.

My KT3-Ultra2 maxed@ 185 with XMS3200 cas2.

I agree with Wes about the 166.

people at "AMDMB Forum" said the 1/5 kick's in at 152 FSB. Can't boot at 166FSB, nothing, nada, zilch !!! This board topped out at 172 FSB with a Duron 1.2 or a XP-1900 installed.(Both proc's are unlocked) If I unlock the XP-2400, I'll only have the 5-12.5 multipliers. That won't do me any good.........At 12.5 X 172 = 2150Mhz . Right now I'm running the XP-2400 at 15 X 150 =2259Mhz

2 ways to do it... either 12.5 times your max fsb... which may take 100-200 mhz away

or h20 / pelt cool your cpu.. im betting that'll do it no prob.

even if you lowered the multiplier to 12.5 x166 your system will still be faster

Aye, though your actual clockspeed will be slower than you'd like (but still an overclock, none the less...) the systems performance will be so much greater due to the boost in FSB speeds.

Besides, unlocking is undoable.

hmmmm

remember that 152 maybe causing problems to the PCI and AGP

havew you tried going for 160 or 166 and seeing what happens???

also, you saY YOU MAXED YOUR VCORE at 1.7v, can it not go any higher??

toodles
