I thought everyone was getting tired of me doing the "big countdown" so i didn't say anything when we hit 200:)

I think breaking into the top 100 teams will be the next big milestone!

Welcome to the team unaaceptable_risk :)

Now I've more people to fight off to keep my 9th position ... since certain people leapt right over me and left me standing :(

Hi Jokester,

You don't need FAST internet, just internet.
If you have a modem, it is very difficult to run Folding.
It requires a connection every time it needs to upload and download units, like SETI does. The only difference is, you can not cache units and run a bunch and then upload them to Berkeley.
If you complete a unit of folding, and there is not connection, it waits till it is connected. This is a waste of time, unless you are there to connect and send every time to Stanford.

Take care......

Aye, broadband isn't required, but a 24/7 connection is.

Thanks everyone,

This is the most computer fun that I have had since I first got my first Athlon. That probably means I should get out more, or at least buy a better video card....

But this is much cheaper and more productive. I have 5 machines going now and another 4 to setup. I'm gunning for a team top 10 pozzie:2guns: So fold hard fellas. :D

The team keeps climbing the rankings each time I check, which rocks. Full steam ahead.

I just keep thinking of the local library and IT college with the dozens of idle boxes within. The college ones have done nothing 24/7 for the whole summer break. I can think of ways to convince them to fold,, but how do I convince them to fold for the LN team. By the time they get a sniff of the compeditive side of folding they'll want to start thier own team. Oh well Its all good for science.:)

Great welcome..Taa
