WooHoo Got a KX7 with silver caps!!!

Well I sent my last KX7 back to newegg cause I was just fed up with it...I could never get it over 193FSB without the BIOS getting all artifacty on me, this was a rv 1.1 with black caps. Now this always pissed me off cause my First KX7 would do about 205FSB without artifacts and it had silver caps.

So now I am very happy that I what looks to be a good board, I will report back in a lil bit when I have done the voltmods and the prep for the TEC.

I guess I got lucky. I've had 3 different KX7's. The first from Newegg, a RMA'ed one from Abit and a RMA'ed one from Newegg and they were all silver cap boards.

Thou the one I have now doesn't go nearly as high as the one I got from Abit. :(

Don't really matter too much right now. My 9500Pro does not like 200fsb at all. 190's cool but not much more.

All 3 of mine have been from Newegg.

I did all of V-Mods and did up the NorthBridge with some AS and it posted at 200 with no corruption...Now I need to prep it for TEC cooling and then mount it in the case, so far I like this board.

are you using a specific tec like the swifty version or just a home cooked up version? cant wait to see the oc you get from that, looks to be a good one. Also what chip do you plan on ocing?
