linksys BEFSR41

I was wondering if there was a way to change the default port for remote mangement from 8080 to something else it seems my isp has blocked it along with several other popular ports. Thanks in advance.

Welcome lagsalot...if you go to the advanced Tab then the Filters Tab, at the bottom you will see a remote management option and it will have a port number next to it. Have fun.

Unfortunatly i do not have an option to choose a port number next to remote mangement this is what i have:

Block WAN Request:

Enable Disable

Multicast Pass Through: Enable Disable
IPSec Pass Through: Enable Disable
PPTP Pass Through: Enable Disable
Remote Management: Enable Disable
Remote Upgrade: Enable Disable
MTU: Enable Disable Size:


I am sure there is a way to chose the port I just cant find it I have firmware 1.43 for lynksys BEFSR41. I doubt i'll ever use the remote mangement utility but kinda upsetting my isp has made that decision for me.

Well the 1.43.3 firmware does have the option so you may want to look at flashing it.
