Hi Tom,

With two SETI accounts and one Folding account, I am probably the exeption to the rule.
There is no need to make a special skin for me.

The great thing about this new code is that it has skins. I whipped this one up in about 15 minutes:

Just add the &xskin=s_marb to use this for seti (wont work for F@H yet).

I didnt know Jema had done the exact kind of stats thing I did. Thats depressing. I thought I was being original. Bah! Plus, id a just asked him instead of doing 25 hours of coding heh.

guess i should have kept my mouth shut for a change :(

to be honest player0, the stuff you have done so far is more impressive than jemas stats, the sheer amount of info you can stick into your sig now is a huge move forward over jemas stats.

Not to offend anyone here (please smack me if i put my foot in my mouth) But comparing your work to jema's would seem to end up counter productive, sure you may both have done similar work, and been influenced by him... but by no means should you devalue what you have already done or even redone. Its just up to you now to expand what youve done to make it unique.
I would lkike to see you code in customize able variables so each person can make thier own sig

D'oh, the one with WU averages doesn't work for me. Does it need to be especially set up or does me having a space in my nick cause problems (Tried %21 but no change).

There are some problems with special characters still, unfortunately. Hyphens currently break it. I thought spaces would work, but I will look in to it for you AC.

Anyway, thanks for all the compliments. I wasn't really comparing my work to Jema's (I didn't even knew it existed until MrP told me). But his stuff looks good too. Well I'll keep working on mine and hopefully I can make it as useful as his code, maybe better in some areas, not as good in others. He's been working with this stuff a lot longer than I have tho :)

I got really far on the skinning interface yesterday. Its nearly as big of a project as the sig was itself but...maybe I can get it working some before I leave next week on vacation :)

Hi Tom,

One comment tho: Can the color of the stats be a little darker?
My old eyes are having trouble reading the little light blue type.
If not, that is fine too.

You did a VERY good job, so I don't want to complain.........too much. :D

AC, it takes 24 hours for the averages to start calculate. It will read 0 until then...but should pop in there soon.

BTW....does anyone besides me really f*ing love the daily averages now? Its MUCH easier to see how well people really are doing :)

Is it dark enough now? Sometimes colors aren't so clear on this laptop LCD :)

I dont know how anyone can stand using a LCD over a CRT on a home system. CRTs still look 10x better :)

It is probably that I am getting blind in one eye, and can't see out of the other. :D

Well, once the skinning engine is done, you can all make your own skins and then you dont have to worry about not being able to read mine ;)

I just noticed why my second day with the new sig showed only 5 or six woots then the third day showed 7 something and today is 9 something. It starts with zero. Averages your first 24 hour total with the zero giving you half. the the second day gives 2 24 hour totals averaged with one zero. So it will take a few weeks to settle into a fairly precise daily average assuming your woot output is extremely consistent :D

The 0 from the first day is *not* actually averaged in to the total.

It will take a week or two for the average to reach a good balance though if you do dumps. If your like me and just produce on a regular schedule, the average should be pretty good in a matter of days.

But no, the 0 day doesnt affect the average, theres code in place to prevent that sorta thing ^.^
