Hi,
What is the best photo editing package for pc's these days ?
I don't want to do anything fancy, just remove red eye, rotate pics, view pics in a slide show etc..
I have Adobe Photodeluxe & Lview (which I like) at the mo, is there anything better out there?
Thanks for any help

Hey,
I do a ton of Photo stuff at school and at work, with all the different progs ivev tried at the U of R i always gravitate back to Adobe Photoshop. Its great for basic stuff like you spoke of and you can do really high end things with it too. Our school bought a lisense at the suggestion of a local Graphics Design studio because thats what they use. Its Easily downloadable off Kazaa or Imesh too :D

I work in a computer to plate print shop and most of our work is done in photoshop. There is also Corel Draw, Quark, Adobe framemaker, Illustrator, and pretty much anything else that has adobe in front of it.
I'd pick up a copy of Photoshop (7.0 is the latest) and be done with it. Photodeluxe is photoshop light so you'll know where most things are. There is also a freeware prog called irfan view (http://www.tucows.com/mmedia/preview/194967.html) that I've used that works pretty well.

Im a Photoshop addict, but I know many people who like PaintShop Pro.
If you're looking for simple, ACDSee Power Pack 5.0 (acdsystems.com) is a great bundle, with photo editors and viewers and just about everything you'd need to do anything, without the hassle of using PS.

I've got Photoshop 7.0 now, but there is something else I need to do and that is to edit pics and print 3 (or more) pics per page in 6x4 inches etc.. in photo quality
I can't see how to do this with Photoshop, I could do this with my HP photosmart s/w, but not with Photoshop, any ideas if it can do this ?

Quark.
Quark is the top latout tool we use at work. Edit the images in PS then drop them into a Quark document.
