what is the best online game

just wondering what the best online game is, i have just got broadband(128k) and want to find a good online game.

I'd say for sheer size and popularity .... Counter-Strike :)
After that .... Medal of Honour .. if you like that kind of gaming
(first-person-shooters).
I've been told Battlefield 1942 is pretty awesome ... but it needs a fairly grunty machine and I haven't actually played it online myself.

My favorites lately are SOF2, Wolfenstien, UT03, and Quake3 every once and a while.

We used to have a UT03 server up but I don't know if it's still there.

Yarr, I'd say UT03 myself, but haven't tried much besides that. We used to have a UT03 server up but I don't know if it's still there.I'd love to play the rest of the LN people at UT or any other game for that matter.

atm i really like Americas Army Online. Its fantastic :D better than counterstike with gfx as good as UT2003.

For the best in on line strategy, as well as action, a highly recommend Battlefield 1942. It's a blast shooting, driving, and flying every peice of WWII hardware you can think of, but success is also based on solid teamwork.

I'll try BF 1942 as soon as I figure out how to write .bin files to CD without getting errors. :(

CounterStrike is byfar the best. and if ure comp can handle it BF 1942 is a very close second
