Hi mdzcap,

for 1 week I experience really strange anomalies with my Geforce4. I was working under Microsoft Word when suddenly the screen got heavily corrupted, visual anomalies like flickering, green stripes and stuff.
I really don't know what happened. I neither overclocked or changed anything (like modding). After 5 months this is the first time this problem appeared. 8 days ago however I started using the DVI connected to my new VX500!! (Might this be the source of the errors)

Things are getting strangier now.

When I boot up the PC, some letters in the information on the bootup-screen like Memory Test or the bios date are highlighted (bright white, grey white)

Until XP boots up ugly green and red stripes fill the screen.

Suddenly in XP everything looks alright, I can work perfectly, but only for some hours.

Programs which require the intense use of graphical calculations run very well, but when it goes back from 3D to 2D the corruptions come back and the PC freezes

What's wrong?

Is it the AGP Controller of the KG7-R or the Geforce4?

(tommorow I am gonna check the Geforce4 at a friend's PC)

thanks for the help

-Aman

P.S.: (Might a BIOS upgrade help the card? Where can I get one?

sounds like it could be the output filters on the graphics card to me... have you got another to try it out with? or could you borrow a friends?
