I am COMPLETELY confused... I am running 2 HDs (HD1: Win98 SE, XP Pro, seperate partitions, and HD2: Red Hat v8, Mandrake v9). I have set up a user account. Let's just say that I JUST started messing with Linux (yesterday) and am clueless. I feel like a retard, after working with Windows crap for 10 years, looking at a Linux is Greek. I can't even find out how to look at the first hard drive (can linux look in Windows partitions?). The reason I ask is that I have some Internet Favorites, and documents that I would like to access. I don't know... I have done alot of reading online, but the foreign nature of Linux is kicking my rump. Any help would GREATLY be appreciated.
Also, is there a standard way to tell what a program does by it's name (you know, in Windows, if the program is called 'Paint', you can get a general idea of what it does, but the names in Linux are very odd...)
