I have a Radeon with VIVO and I have it hooked up to my TV right now and it works great. Execpt that Linux does not like the video out part of the card. My monitor is across the room from the TV so the KVM cable don't reach :D.

Now I see that the shack has some cheap 25' and 50' RCA cables and I was thinking of grabing one and just running the cable to the TV. How much signial loss am I going to get with the long azz cable?

I'm re-doing my room soon and the computer and the TV will be a lot closer so I don't want to drop a lot of $$ on a s-cable or something but the 50' cable from the shack is under $10 so I think I can handle that ;)

I think you will be ok with a 25' cable run, if you have to go 50' get a high quality cable, But I think you will be alright.

if its sheilded cable with that foil stuff 50' shouldent matter.
its the real cheepie stuff that a good length will be affected by radio waves. years ago i worked for automatic tool and connector company in hillside and i use to have to know that stuff. if it dont work for you ill buy it off ya for my laptop to tv.

I bought two 12' Svideo/RCA Stereo combo cables, along with the adapters to hook them end to end in to one 25' length. These were good shielded cables. Cost me $50.

The 25' BestBuy cable and the 20ft RCA stereo patch cable cost me a total of $25.

I cant tell the difference between the two hehe :) Im not a big proponent for expensive cables :)
