LN LAN party this weekend

Just a reminder to everyone the LN LAN party is this Sunday the 17th of November

The event is noon till ? but I should be there before noon setting up.

Bring food/drink and whatever you need to run your box (patch cables, power strip, the computer :)) There is a kitchen on premises so you can bring stuff that needs to cook if you're so inclined. There are also pizza places and other takeout availble.

Donations to differ the cost of the hall are very much appreacaited but not manidatory. (just don't roll up and tell me you have no loot and then go get sushi for lunch... Well, maybe if you bring me some back :D) Troublemakers will be run up the flagpole by their shorts. Don't make me get Tony Soprano after ya ;)

Yes, if you bring your own PC, be sure to have a power strip, a looong NIC cable, and an extension cord just in case. We might have some spare of all of the above but, better safe than sorry.

Also, bring some blank cds in case we need to distrubute games for playing. Bring whatever game CDs you want.

I think we should all bring speakers, cause the lan party should be noisy ;) You should bring headphones too, just in case.

Bring food, snacks, drinks, whatever. I'll be bringing my gamecube and a projector I hope. We may also have a PS2 or XBox, so you might want to bring controllers/games for those.

I really cant think of anything else. Ive had to make a list so I remember to bring everything ;)

I just got the keys today and thanks to the wonderful U.S. Mail service the woman never recived my first check for the deposit so I had to give her $200 today and I'm now dirt poor. :(

I'll scrounge up some money so I can get some hot dogs and burgers 'cause we have a kitchen and a bar. :thumbsup:

Bring extention cords, We have more than enough tables. If you plan to cook bring kitchenware (pots and stuff). If you like to drink your booze out of glass you might want to bring it :)

Geez, I'm feelin the monitary pinch too. Wish I didnt have to pay rent with my last paycheck hehe.

Well, it looks like only two of us from up north here are coming, everyone else has flaked. Ah well, I tried hehe.

I got the projector here, and Gabe found some long enet cables in our closet at work and will bring. I'll bring a crimper, som rj45 ends, as well. Someone may want to bring a spare mouse and kb, in case we loose one to drink or something ;)

Ill try to bring some plates and cups and some junkfood and soda.

Here's a quick checklist.

If worse comes to worse and someone forgets something I'm not too far from my house and there is a CompUSA, BestBuy and Willowbrook mall down the street (think Mallrats :))

There is also supermarkets and fast food all over the place so grub won't be a problem. I'm getting dogs, burgers and hotwings (mild, hot, and super colon blow) and whatever else me and my friend Dave wants to cook. I'll pick up a couple of 12pks of soda and some seltzer but bring stuff :D

I'm bringing 2 computers. One for me and the server. Dave's bringing his box and a laptop or two in case we need a extra server. 1 4p 10/100 hub, 1 6p 10/100 hub, and a 5p 10/100 switch. I beleive P0's bringing a 16p hub as a backup so unless a whole bunch 'o people I don't know about show up Networking should not be a issue.

What you'll need:
1: Computer and assorted cables
2: Monitor and cables
3: Input devices (keyboard, mouse, Ect.)
4: Speakers and headphones ( headphones only for Late-night)
5: LAN cable
6: Blank CD's
7: Booze (optional)
8: Beverages (fraging is work:cool3: )
9: Snacks (it's gonna be like a share with the class kind of thing)


Chairs and tables are there but the chairs are the metal arse numbing kinds. If ya want you can bring a chair or a pillow. Don't worry I won't call you a pansy I'll probally have one too :D

There is no smoking in the building. You can smoke outside if ya need (I know I needed when I smoked)

That's all I can think about. Directions should be easy. It's not too far from Rt-46. If you think you need a phone# in case you get lost PM me but everyone shold be fine. :)

Cool P0, I think I only have serial mice but I'm bringing 2 trackballs and I think with the local people comming we can get whatever we need if bad things happen. Synth's comming and my friend Dave will be there. Whoever shows, shows :D
