Last night I was watching Rush Hour 2 on my KX7. Well, trying to watch it is more like it.

First, I never had PowerDVD running on this install so I put it in and did all it had to do and it rebooted. I got about halfway through the movie and it started throwing damaged disk errors at me. I stoped it and retried from the same place and it wouldnt play. I rebooted it and tried again. Same thing. I even backed down the overlock and was getting the same results.

I started poking around in my PowerDVD folder and found a XP patch and installed it. Tried again and it worked! Coolies :cool3:
Got about 10 min in and I said "good it's working". That's when it promptly started giving damaged disk errors again thus proving that my computer can hear me yet again.

I had everything shut down in the background (normally Seti runs all the time without a problem in games or DVD's) When I get home from work I'm going to try it on my other box w/ a DVD drive and see if its the disk.

Hi Fara,

I run Power DVD also, and have no problems with it.

What version do you have?

Take care.......

I have 3.0 and 4.0.

3.0 is what's in the KX7 right now. Other DVD's work fine but this one is having issues. :(

If when I go home and I try it in my A7V with a 12x creative DVD that only plays DVD's (It should read CD's but it don't) I'm gonna chalk it up to the disk not liking my Lite-on 16x DVD.
