Is this right?

I just got a netgear 5 port switch FS605 to replace my DS104 4 port hub.

I went to DSL reports to check my speed and I went from 501kbps/81kbps to 696/134.

Do I chalk it up to net traffic or did getting a switch improve the speed?

Either way I'm happy :)

I wouldnt think it was the switch...but then again, who knows :)

Probably network traffic. Your broadband speed tests will vary widely depending on time of day, day of the week, etc.
