Triplex Geforce 4200 128Mb Ram defaults to 550Mhz

Anyone else experience something similar to this(with a Triplex card or any other)?When I first ran Morrowind I had a lot of artifacts going on and I was mighty pissed off.I had bough the card that day and I had problems.So I thought I'll try and clock down the system and memory speed on the video card(the only new component so that must be the problem).

I ran Powerstrip and it reported 550Mhz for my memory.I reduced this to 500Mhz and it runs great.I've also dropped my ambient case and cpu temps by more than 20 degrees celcius so I might try advancing the memory some more soon.

some of the cheaper 128mg cards have 4.0ns ram... which seem to be set at around 222mhz, (444mhz effective). Check out the numbers on your mem chips.... maybe the card came with the wrong bios? odd.

sounds like your card was flashed with a Ti4400 bios.
