berg Connectors

Hey Gang,

Does any know where I can pick up 2-4 pin berg connectors(the connectors that allow you to connect power switch, reset, speaker to an ATX motherboard. I have been having to replace a bunch on motherboards lately that have all the stuff in one big brick. I have used the few I have off old cases. Ideas?

No, I've never located a source of bare new ones. The best I have managed is the lil connectors 2/3/4 pin with a locking tab along one side of the lower edge. They are substantially bulkier than the ones your thinking of, but the pin spacing is correct, so they can be suitable if you don't need them side by side on a double row bank of pins. I got those from the Aussie equiv of radio shack.

Failing that, good electronics stores should sell the actual female pin components individually, and a raid of some old cases will get the plug bodies. I know I'm on the other side of the planet, but I have a crazy amount of old cases lying around, and would happily post you some connectors if you need.

Our electrical suppier found the 2,3, and 4 pin version.
