At first, I thought this was going to be another cheesy FPS. Boy was I surprised!!
1st off, I'd like to say that the demo has a ridiculous amount of ammo. I've left a message at their forums hoping to hear that the full PC version has been balanced. Otherwise, this game has suffered from another case of "Console nubbed game directly ported to PC" virus.
The AI is simply hilarious! The main point of TimeShift is being able to manipulate time. This means being able to pause time, grabbing your enemy's weapon, and watching the fun. :D Some of the guys franticly look around for another gun, some immediately put their hands up, and some turn into the fetal position. And they are little bastards, too. I'll let you figure out what they do when you turn your back on them ;)
It runs surprisingly well on their proprietary engine. There ARE a few thins that scream out other games. Big wall screens with people talking ala HL2. Crossbow with exploding arrows ala Gears of War. But overall, it was interesting to play. :)
TimeShift has awesome eye candy. If its raining outside, when you pause time, all the water droplets stop right in front of you. It is really an amazing little game. But if the ammo has not been balanced on it, I'll probably wait until its price has gone down.
