Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item.
This error happens when i try to click on the crysis mp demo. I have actually been playing the game via the icon for about 3 days before error presented. I tried a reinstall and didnt fix. I even looked at the folder with the issue
C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\G ameExplorer\{0d8368e2....)
Only thing i did today which was any diff was clear my temporary internet files, history, cookies, form data etc. Im using vista. If i try to click on actual icon in electronic arts file then it gives same error. No other problems with pc. Some one recommended CCleaner for error and i tried it with no success. Any ideas. PS crysis rocks when u can play it :(

I should mention i am the one and only user on this pc with full administrator rights. This program is added as a exception to my firewall. I had to log into a fileplanet (using gamespy) to dl the beta. Could i have erased something then like a cookie that let the game work or load.
Umm i have no virus or spyware on pc. Bout all i can tell u guys. I'd considered not doing easy install if i try another reinstall and doing a custom install. Maybe i could select another folder and then it may work (long shot i know).

If i right click on the crysis.exe icon in the program files folder i get a message
"Cannot update the properties for this program. The shortcut or .pif may be read-only, or another program may be modifying them. Close all copies of this program, and then try again"
A second error dont know if it helps.
PS i realize why no one has replyed its 6am in USA :P

You are running Vista, the game is made by EA and it's still a beta.

Yeah otherwise pc runs quite well. Can play like 10 other games including a few demos no problem. I sent 2 screenshots via xfire to a friend (naughty i know cause its a close beta) except the person i sent em to was apart of the beta and the shots were for personal use of him hehe. I used fraps to take em. Other than that i cant think of any other reason why its stuffed. I hope it aint a issue for the game itself.
I can try a custom install and maybe move install folder. I hope cod4 demo runs without a hitch this week when its released. We are all massive codders :D
