Yep I quite agree, Over here they have made talking on the phone illegal whilst driving, but have not addressed txting at all. But because ppl don't want to be seen with a phone in their hand, they hold it down near their lap and drive along whilst thumbdancing.. Looking not at the road, but their knees FFS.

Traveling in the same direction, I had a young woman just veer across into my lane whilst I was on the bike only recently... And that in itself is a wonder, as I ride the loudest bike I have ever heard. The first she knew of me was when my motorcycle boot connected heavily with her door, and you should have seen her jump then. I only hope the big dent in her panelwork reminds her to pay attention or pull over everytime she goes to get in her car.

In the UK, its basically illegal to be on the road in a car with a phone in your hand, even if you arent actually using it.. the only time you can use a phone in the car without a handsfree kit, is when you are parked.

Weather it's a law or not, I'm sure if a cop sees a driver with both hands off of the wheel and on a phone, he will pull him over and have a nice talk with him.

when i see someone on a cell behind the wheel i use my phone to take a pic of them as im along their side. most get nervous and end the call. if i get dirty looks i hold up my sherrifs dept ID card with the star on it and they drop back a few car lengths.
what they dont know is that its just a temp contractor ID card with my pic on it!

So, you see an unsafe driver and you pull up beside them and take their picture with your cellphone with one hand and impersonate an police officer with the other, all while you are driving down the highway, while trying to put a stop to unsafe driving.

Warning!
Irony overload!
Does not compute!

Snowman, I gotta say, after a month and a half of living in your state, there ain't NO ONE here who drives with an ounce of safety in mind.

When you cross the border from NY to MA, you'd have to be blind not to notice the increased level of road insanity that goes on here!

What is it?? Is it that cops just don't care or aren't there enough of em?

MA is worse than North Jersey EXCLUDING Newark which I'm sure is a suburb of Hell.
