I note on the news tonight Floods hitting both Aus and the UK at the moment. My part of Aus has been in terrible drought for years now, with dams close to empty, so we will take all the rain we can get. But its always terrible to see peoples homes and lives being washed away.
I hope none of our members here are in affected areas.

A lot of my area is flooded, luckily not everywhere is badly affected (like my street and a few close by). I drove through a load of it the other day, you could see the water flowing down the roads ... I'm glad I drive a big car/truck because the water was between 6" and 12".

Sounds like its darn close mate. Just watching the news today and I see parts of Texas and surrounds are under too. Is there a world wide flooding thing going on?

I have a nasty storm rolling by as I type. A few months ago we got nailed with a few days a rain. I ended up with a indoor swimming pool. Too bad it was in my appartment. 3" of water everywhere. :(

They showed on the news this morning some rivers in the middle of towns here which had risen by 15ft in one night earlier this week.. I thought that was quite hardcore! hehe

Well apparently here in the UK we got a months worth of rain in one day!! We get enough rain as it is without getting that much dumped on us in one go. The sad thing is once the sun cones out we'll get drought warnings and shit like that ... we'll be told all the rain was "the wrong type of rain", I kid you not!

I heard some of the central states got pounded butt good recently as well. An eFriend or mine lives in Oklahoma and had all kinds of flooding around him.
The weather here in Finland is business as usual (plus global warming).
